CURRICULUM : The process of curriculum development was initiated by the council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, in 2016. With the collaborative efforts of various teachers, educationists and international educational institutions, the council has introduced several modifications and changes in the school curriculum and syllabi at various levels: Pre-primary (Pre-school), Primary (I-V), Upper Primary (VI-VIII), Secondary (IX-X), and the Higher Secondary (XI-XII).
In accordance with the prescribed curriculum of the council, Don Bosco School, Bandel, has incorporated all the necessary changes. This provides a plethora of opportunities to its students to enjoy the learning experience through the integration of generic skills, values and attitude in key learning areas by this upgradation.

The School Offers The Following Course Of Studies :

The ICSE Section (Classes IX-X) : Subjects taught: English, Bengali / Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Commercial Applications, Economic Applications, Computer Applications and Physical Education.
ISC (+2) Section : This section provides courses for three different streams:

Stream Subject Taught
Science Stream :

English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Bengali / Hindi, and Physical Education.

Commerce Stream :

English, Mathematics, Economics, Principles of Accounts, Structures of Commerce, Business Studies, Bengali / Hindi and Physical Education.

Humanities Stream :

English, History, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Mathematics, Bengali / Hindi and Physical Education.

 

Value Education classes (Catechism / Moral Science), creative curricular activities (youth groups and movements), co-curricular activities, sports and games, and social service projects also form an integral part of the school curriculum.
